ARA Features Unique to Release Engineer

Deployment Version Control for Release Management

Jumping Versions, Rollbacks and Roll Forward

Release Engineer tracks and reports on all your Application Release Versions and the Environments in which they have been deployed. And similar to a version control tool, Release Engineer uses a back-end database to track the changes between deployed versions. No other ARA solution offers an integrated version control feature.

With this level of version control, Release Engineer allows you to jump versions incrementally, including database updates such as table alters. Jumping is supported by forward chaining of the deployment deltas. For example, you can jump your production release from 1.1 to 1.6, picking up all of the in between steps along the way, or move backward between any versions. Deployment Version Control is essential for reducing errors particularly in agile environments where Continuous Delivery is the goal.
