OpenMake Software Build Management Benefits

By managing more build engines, such as MSBuild and Ant, OpenMake Software represents the natural virtualization of the application build process derived directly from popular IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse.  Putting workflow on top of chaos does not solve the build problems.  OpenMake Software provides free workflow management with Mojo, but addresses the entire build management challenge with Meister.

OpenMake Meister supports enterprise level, multi-language and multi-platform build engine processing that unifies applications written in different languages, including multiple versions of Visual Studio and Java - what we call Meister Mashups.  Meister creates and audits binaries that are prepared for production release, and Mojo coordinates the workflow of activities that move binaries from development through production.  See how we are different from other Build Management tools... Simplified Builds using OpenMake Meister

OpenMake Meister was designed to simplify builds at the build engine level.  It's secret sauce is in it's innovative Build Services. Build Services create the build best practices needed to standardize the way in which builds are executed, regardless of language or operating system.  By inter-operating with popular IDE's, such as Eclipse, IBM-RAD, Microsoft Visual Studio and Borland Code Gear, Build Services synchronizes builds running inside of the IDEs with the builds running outside of the IDEs,  delivering the most accurate and repeatable builds possible from development to production release.

Agile Builds through Meister's Mashups

OpenMake Meister creates an adaptive build process by eliminating the static nature of build scripts.  Static scripts, born from the waterfall approach to software development, do not support the fast changing environment of agile software development.   Because Meister controls the build at the build engine level,  it is easy for it to mashup the IDE project data with the Meister Build Services to auto generate a new build.xml or make file each time the build executes.  This keeps your build scripts up to date with the changes being made inside the development IDEs such as refactoring, adding classes or libraries or resource files.

Faster Builds

Openmake Meister decreases the time of the build by reducing build speeds through iterative build technology we call "Build Avoidance."  Build Avoidance breaks the time barrier acheiving 10 minute builds or less.

Reduce Cost by Eliminating Redundancy and Staffing

Traditional build processing is 100% reliant on developers writing thousands of build scripts to support their compile and link process.  By implementing OpenMake Meister's Build Services, you can move from thousands of scripts to a small handfull of scripts. Our customers tells us that they have reduced their staff who manages builds,  moved from 500 builds a month to 6000 builds a month, and are managing as few as 4 reusable templates as opposed to thousands of ad-hoc build scripts.

Improved Software Quality

OpenMake Software improves software quality by ensuring that builds can be repeated consistently between development builds and pre-production builds.

Build Audits

Through Build Forensics innovation, OpenMake Meister exposes critical build data for everyone - from development to release teams - to see.  Meister offers our customers maximum protection from failed releases by providing improved traceability, impact analysis and audit control that links production back to its development origin.
