OpenMake Software is looking for talented and ambitious people to join our Techinal team in the role of Build Management Consultants, Sales Engineers and Developers for our Meister and Mojo products.  These products are used by software developers so our team members need to fully understand the process of building software and must have strong software development skills. The candidates will understand the structure of software builds using different development tools such as Microsoft .Net, IBM-RAD, Eclipse and C-Unix.  Your development experience will be appreciated and expanded when you work as a member of our team.

Build Management Consultant 

 This position will utilize your talents in all areas of the development process and application lifecycle. As a Professional Services Consultant, you will be responsible for recommending deployment architectures, installing OpenMake products, and developing reports, customizations, integrations, and migrations based upon customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and plans to achieve new build management to release management procedures.

  • Identify Best Practices for implementing OpenMake Build Services and use of Remote Build Machines.

  • Handle complicated technical issues independently, which may be centered on development tools, source code control systems and deployment tools, OS or Network issues, automation tools and build scripts.

  • Deliver project task responsibilities correctly and on-schedule.

  • Assist in pre-sales support, post-sales technical support, and product instruction.

  • Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of OpenMake products and the environments in which they perform, as well as product and project delivery lifecycles.  

  • Travel Required

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.

  • Knowledge of Windows, LINUX and UNIX operating systems and supported development systems.

  • Experience on Perl, shell scripts, and system administration.

  • Minimum three years experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .Net and/or Eclipse and WSAD.

  • Knowledge of the software development cycle.

  • Experience with SCM tools desired.

  • Highly motivated with strong communication, presentation, and writing skills required.

  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and recommendations.

  • Must be able to successfully work with minimal supervision

Support Services Technician

 This position will require that you respond to telephone calls and e-mail messages from customers looking for help with software problems. In responding to these inquiries, you must listen carefully to the customer, ask questions to diagnose the nature of the problem, and then patiently walk the customer through the problem-solving steps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle complicated technical issues independently.
  • Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of OpenMake products and the environments in which they perform.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email and internet.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Must have Java and Perl programming experience.
  • Background involving compilers and linkers a plus.
  • Minimum three years experience.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication and writing skills required.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and recommendations.
  • Must be able to successfully work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available for occasional on-call work.
