Upgrading the Knowledge Base Server from OpenMake 6.41

In order to upgrade to Meister from Openmake version 6.41, you must first perform a clean install of Meister and then copy the Knowledge Base Server metadata files from Openmake 6.41 to the Meister Knowledge Base Server, overwriting if necessary. The Openmake 6.41 metadata files are in folders under:

   <openmake install>/tomcat/openmake.ear/openmake.war/

The files in these folders should be copied to the corresponding folders in Meister under:

<meister install path>/kbserver/tomcat/openmake.ear/openmake.war/

All files should be copied recursively from the following folders:

      kb/projects/

      kb/users/

      kb/groups/

      kb/jobs/

      logs/

In addition, you should copy over any new or modified build services and build methods from the folders:

      kb/build types/

      scripts/

Be sure to test a representative set of builds in a test environment before going live to ensure no files are missed in the migration. Restart the Meister Knowledge Base Server after copying the files.
