Installing a Knowledge Base Server

 

If the Knowledge Base Server was not installed by default then a manual install can be performed.  A manual install would be performed if you need to have multiple Knowledge Base Servers other than a centralized Knowledge Base Server.  Multiple Knowledge Base Servers are used when a personal, testing, or production servers are desired. 

 

To install a Knowledge Base Server manually, first install Meister as directed above then perform the following steps:

Go to Window > Preferences

Expand the Openmake item and select Machine

Under “This machine runs as a …”,  check Knowledge Base Server

Click “Install Knowledge Base Server Files”

Perform the configuration of Knowledge Base Server as described in the Changing the Configuration section of this guide.
