Missing Build Type Website.xml file 5 Months ago Karma: 0&nbsp&nbsp
I've just run into a problem with the .NET 2005 integration to Meister when working with a website.

I am working on a Windows XP Professional (SP2) desktop system. I have a web project set up in .NET 2005 using CA's Harvest CM integration and the OpenMake Meister 7.1, build 350 Studio AddIn.

When I Configure OpenMake... I check the box for Generate TGTs for Web Site projects and Apply the change. After I Create TGTs, I attempt to Build Solution with OpenMake.

When I do, I get the following error in .NET's output pane:
Since I am the administrator over this OpenMake system, I go to the OpenMake Knowledge _base_ Server to investigate this file. When I do look for the Website._xml_ file under openmake.war\kb\build types\Windows I discover that the file doesn't even exist.

I performed the installation of this Knowledge _base_ Server and there were no errors or problems in the installation, so I'm certain the file was never there. It also doesn't exist on any of the other Knowledge _base_ Servers, individual or community, that have been installed.

Should this be the MSBuild Website._xml_ instead? That file does exist and is available in the same location. Can I modify the MSBuild Website._xml_ to make it the Website._xml_ file expected by Meister and .NET?

Thanks for any help.

Don't know if you have worked this out by now Mike, but my best guess is that the Addin didn't correctly generate the target file for your website build.

If you want to create this target through the Meister target editor to try to get further in the build, it should be really easy to do. The only dependency required by this build service is the .sln file that contains the website project.

I will also try this out myself to see if this is a consistently reproducible problem with 7.1.
